At a time of unprecedented stress for the arts and cultural sector, particularly cultural learning freelancers, we want to record the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the workforce and use the information to advocate for better support. To do this we are running a Cultural Learning Workforce Survey three times: Winter 2020-21, April and July 2021. This blog details the results from the December 2020 surveys for freelancers and organisations.

In our 2019 round-up we predicted that 2020 would hold ‘upheavals for the arts and education sectors’. This now sounds like the understatement of the decade. The Covid-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed the context in which we are working and will continue to do so in 2021.
