The following organisations work in the South East region and provide networks, advice and training for those working in cultural learning.
The Centre for Community Engagement manages Creative Partnerships, Sussex and Surrey. In addition, they will be developing new programmes that bring partners together from across education, business, science and the arts to develop the creative skills of young people and those who work with them. Current areas of interest include developing the skills of the creative sector to work with young people, work-related learning within the 14-19 curriculum, international collaborations around the 2012 games, Building Schools for the Future, and the development of the Young People’s Arts Award.
Creative Junction builds partnerships with and for young people, to develop creativity and to connect powerful, innovative learning across sectors. They initiate and incubate new and innovative work with and for young people, develop professional learning opportunities for creative and education professionals, champion creative learning, and are an axis for dialogue between creative learning providers. Creative Junction is the area delivery organisation for Creative Partnerships in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes.
Future Creative aims to work collaboratively with partners from education, culture and business to improve the life chances of young people through the development of their creative skills. They manage creative learning programmes, including Creative Partnerships in Kent, to develop imaginations, aspirations and skills for life by inspiring, challenging and empowering all involved, enabling young people and their communities to optimise their potential and contribute to their changing worlds.
